PCA doubles sales in two years and announces new Porsche Centres for 2015Porsche continues growth in Australia in 2014

Australia. Porsche Cars Australia (PCA) announced today its second record sales year in a row for the Australian market with 2,813 sales of new Porsches in 2014 – 908 units (47.7 per cent) ahead of 2013’s previous record of 1,905; and 1,440 units (104.8 per cent) ahead of 2012’s figure of 1,373.

The continued local record growth is in line with Porsche AG’s planned expectations for this market as the brand enjoys the best line up of two- and four-door sports cars and sporting SUVs in its history.

Porsche’s core sports car models were instrumental in the growth with the two-door sports cars (911, Boxster and Cayman ) enjoying their best combined sales performance in six years. In all, 366 911s, 225 Caymans and 211 Boxsters were sold in 2014.

Cayenne’s total of 1,125 sales was its second consecutive year over the 1,000 mark while 800 Macans were delivered since sales began in June, with solid Macan sales again expected in 2015. Panamera, in a difficult market segment, kept its strong share with 86 sales.

2015 will see two new Official Porsche Centres (OPCs) added to the already 12-strong Porsche network; with strategic openings in Doncaster in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and the appointment of a new dealer in Townsville (serving North Queensland) where Porsche’s customer base is growing.

The expansion of the Porsche dealer network is required in order to maintain the highest levels of customer service to coincide with Porsche’s growing customer base.

Existing OPCs have undergone, or are in the final stages of, redevelopment to ensure the rightful high expectations of all Porsche customers can be met.

“Our growth plans for Porsche in Australia are on target,” says Mr. Sam Curtis, PCA Managing Director. “Equally important is that all Porsche customers – both new and existing – feel special each time they visit a Porsche Centre and receive the highest levels of attention.

“PCA has made a significant investment in the Australian market and in turn we have asked our dealer partners to do the same and I am delighted that together we are building the Porsche business hand in hand.”
