Porsche appoints new business partner in North QueenslandPorsche Centre Townsville to open doors in July

Australia. Porsche Cars Australia (PCA) has appointed a new dealer in Townsville to meet the needs of the natural growing market in Townsville and North Queensland.

Porsche Centre Townsville will become the 14th official Porsche Centre in Australia when it begins operating in July 2015.

The new Porsche Centre is owned by the experienced and diverse Motoco Group, formerly known as the Honeycombe Group which established its retail motoring business in 1991. Jason Collins, co-owner of Motoco Group, will be the new Dealer Principal of Porsche Centre Townsville.

“We are delighted to have a new Porsche business partner in the burgeoning Townsville and North Queensland market in Jason Collins and his established team at the Motoco Group,“ said PCA Managing Director, Sam Curtis.

“Establishing an official Porsche Centre in the region is in response to the growing car parc of Porsche vehicles in Townsville and North Queensland. More recently we have noticed a steady increase in Porsches purchased in Southern Queensland making their way to the country’s north.

“As a premium brand it is critical that we provide our customers with the convenience of expert local Porsche servicing. In addition, the full range of Porsche vehicles will be available for sale through Porsche Centre Townsville.“

Townsville is the tenth fastest growing city in Australia and the acknowledged hub for regional and state government business. Its population is expected to reach 200,000 in 2015.

“We are delighted to have been selected the official Porsche Centre for Townsville“, said Jason Collins. “We have a proven and successful record in customer service through various automotive franchises and look forward to servicing existing Porsche customers as well as bringing new customers into the Porsche fold.

“The current range of Porsche cars is the best it has ever been and I can’t think of a better premium brand to be aligned with.“

Porsche Centre Townsville will be the second new Porsche Centre to be opened in 2015 after Porsche Centre Doncaster in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs opens in May.

Porsche is experiencing unprecedented growth in Australia with a fresh and vibrant range of two- and four-door sports cars and continued high demand for its Cayenne and Macan SUV models.

“These are very exciting times for Porsche in Australia and it is imperative that we grow our dealer network accordingly to meet the needs of current and future Porsche customers,“ said Sam Curtis.

Porsche Centre Townsville will be located at 15-17 Bowen Road, Mundingburra, Queensland. 4812.
